Dr. Francis completed his undergraduate and graduate training in 1986 when he earned his Master's Degree in Audiology from West Virginia University. Upon his graduation, he was employed as an educational audiologist in the school systems of Southern West Virginia. He also worked with several physicians in two medical practices during this time, but in 1988, Dr. Francis returned to his roots in Pennsylvania. In 2002, Dr. Francis returned to school and earned his Doctorate Degree in Clinical Audiology from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology.

Dr. Francis spent fourteen of eighteen years as the Director of Audiology at a prominent medical ear, nose and throat practice in the greater Pittsburgh area. After serving the Pittsburgh area for nearly twenty years, Dr. Francis recognized the need to provide a full range of hearing health care products and services in one location. Until now, patients have been required to go to several locations to obtain the items needed for every day activities.

Gathering his resources, Dr. Francis negotiated the collaboration of Francis Audiology Associates and The Total Hearing Store. Now, in one stop, you can find everything from state of the art diagnostics and hearing aid services, to all the hearing healthcare products necessary to protect, restore, and enjoy hearing. Patients become actively involved in their rehabilitation and are given the opportunity to experience the benefits, before a purchase is made. In the same way, his patients will be able to experience products offered by The Total Hearing Store.

In addition to hearing loss prevention and rehabilitation, The Total Hearing Store offers products that enhance the listening experience. Custom devices are available for musicians (monitors/protection), pilots, bikers, iPod and MP3 enthusiasts, business travelers and more.

Dr. Francis is a charter member in good standing, and a fellow in the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). He also holds board certification from the American Academy of Audiology and the Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).

We offer a four week "on line" aural rehabilitation class designed to improve listening and communication skills and obtain maximum benefit from your new hearing aids. This is in conjunction with our comprehensive patient follow-up program.
Our hearing instruments work around your lifestyle. By offering digital, automatic, and appropriate accessories to maximize your hearing experience, we do our best to make sure hearing loss doesn't interfere with your day to day activities.
We offer state of the art hearing evaluations. Extremely accurate evaluations are necessary because the right programming is critical in maximizing the benefit of your instruments, sometimes even more important than the technology itself!
We're dedicated to giving you the perfect fit. Feedback (whistling), discomfort, or inappropriate fit should in no way interfere with your day to day comfort. The more comfortable the hearing aid fit, the more you will use your hearing and studies clearly illustrate that the more you use your instruments, the better you do.
